Funny that you say that ... 'Underneath' is actually what made me think of this painting, as well as Torch 1943 -- which led to posting a lot of this older stuff to keep it alive and well.. If you look in the lower right corner you can see the ghost image of a horse - as I somehow thought he should have a connection with horses. My mother later told me that Gary - her prom date - later went on to become a vet for horses... Odd how the painting was accurate without me even knowing him or hearing the story... creepy..
Awesome! I'm guessing that is your mom. It makes me think of the painting we saw titled "underneath".....good enough to be in a show!
