Savor something each day, no matter how small. Never fixate on what should be, but the gifts presented in what is happening right now.

We spend every waking minute with ourselves. Having compassion for your self worth and what it is you have to offer the world, is the least that you owe yourself.

Do what you feel in your heart to be right - for you'll be criticized either way.

One of the reasons we are friends.

In finishing "The Call," I appreciated Murphy's ability to make her characters believable. Her use of magical realism in the book also allowed me to connect to the fact that sometimes events in life can be surreal. We all see things through our own lense and cannot accurately convey the odd way in which we sometimes perceive our own reality.
“Let go of the illusion of lack, and accept things as they are: Perfect, abundant, meaningful expressions of the Divine.”- Colette Baron-Reid///There will never be enough for the Hungry Ghost that challenge you, for the only experience they know is scarcity. It’s not your job to feed them. They will lose their power to haunt you. Trust in the abundance of Spirit.

Band-Aid - To dream of a Band-Aid represents something you're doing to feel better about a problem. Not wanting to notice something negative again. A temporary solution that frees you from caring all the time. Chocolate - Rewarding yourself for a job well done. A need for nurturing. Or, are you indulging too much in a good thing? Wearing a black glove indicates grief.
To dream of giving someone a handshake means that you are welcoming something new into your life. To dream that you are shaking hands with someone means either a new beginning or an ending to a situation. You have reached an agreement or a decision to a problem.

In the frozen corners of the night, flowers bloom.
After shoveling: by back and this tree have a lot in common.
There is so much truth in this independent film. I ended up liking it more than I thought I would.

Vintage glass from New London that I always go back to...
Tonight's To-Do List:
Mind (e)racing, 2013
After flickering lights throughout the night, and one and a half hours of shoveling - I am finally able to relax at 4:42 PM.

A raw film, worth the ride.
Totally crazy -
If you were any more calm, you'd be dead.

DREAMING OF LOSING LUGGAGE:::::Luggage indicates karma – baggage you are carrying from something in your past. This can be something from as far back as childhood or it could be baggage from a previous relationship or other venture. The dream will nearly always indicate how this baggage is affecting something you need to do in the present. Losing your luggage or items from your luggage is actually a good symbol in a dream. It is a request to let go of baggage or past issues that you are carrying around. It doesn’t matter in the dream what is in the bags. The bags represent issues that are holding you back. Luggage Dream Meaning Psychological Meaning: Luggage may represent your responsibilities. It may also symbolise the worries, habits and attitudes you carry around with you. Perhaps you should lighten your load and become a little more carefree. If you dream of giving your luggage to someone else this may show a need to delegate responsibility. Mystical Meaning: We have too many material possessions, desires, worries and needs that weigh us down and slow our spiritual progress. My guru Sai Baba says “Less luggage gives more comfort and makes travel a pleasure. Reduce your desires, and this journey to Sai can become a real pleasure for you..’ Diminishing the luggage (shedding desires) is Vairagya. If we lessen our desires then life’s journey, will be comfortable.

Book review: ‘The Call,’ by Yannick Murphy ::::: Set in rural Vermont, this book is one which has kept me reading for some time. The life of a veterinarian and his wife is turned upside down when their son is shot. In true journalistic style, Yannick delivers her prose in a script of sorts. "THOUGHTS ON DRIVE HOME: When I go I want to go in a field by an apple tree on a full-moon night. WHAT I SAW WHEN I PULLED UP TO THE HOUSE: Bright lights in the sky, a bright object moving back and forth. Not a plane. WHAT I HEARD FROM THE CHILDREN WHEN I GOT HOME: Gentle snoring. WHAT I HEARD FROM MY WIFE WHEN I GOT HOME: Loud snoring.":::::Original in presentation and voice, deeply moving and personal, I am looking forward to the next half of 'The Call.'
Went to Chaplin's last night with Lisa & Cathy... If you like seafood, and a lively atmosphere - it's well worth it... Their seared scallops, crab cakes, Cajun shrimp and mussels marinara are delicious!
The Hygienic had a nice, selective range of work this year. It looks more like a juried show, than a "free for all."
Do they make this in adult size?
Such a charming, quirky little band.
